Ok, time for an update...
Things are pretty uneventful around here, which is probably a good thing. Alex is in the process of trying to write a ten page paper to finish up his work from his summer session class that finished a couple weeks ago. The paper isn't due until September 14th, but with the arrival of our son coming soon, and the start of his fall semester classes at the end of the month, now is definitely the ideal time to get it out of the way.
Lately our evenings have been Alex working as hard as he can on his paper when he's not working at the bagel shop, and me upstairs trying to come up with different things to do to occupy myself, since every and anything baby related is ready to go. I woke up this morning, ready to have another leisurely day, and our friends called to tell us that there was a baby and family expo at the Bristol YWCA. I can't believe I forgot about it, because it has been on my calendar for months!
We made it, and while we were there we had our car seat installation inspected. Everything looks good! However, having a rear facing infant seat in the back of a '97 grand am makes the car feel a lot smaller than it seemed before because we had to move both of the front seats up in order to fit the seat in the back. The process definitely confirmed our desire to get another, larger vehicle if possible once we can do our taxes for 2009. (assuming we get the amount that I've estimated we might get back this year)
Back to waiting!
